the curse of the "impersonal" nature of the internet.

people who want to keep things "light", when most others would rather keep it serious. wich leads to spam because its impossible to tell how someone is "feeling" on a PC, wich often means your attempt to keep things light is reacted to badly, people, who want to be serious, think "damn troll ruining the forum!" and just "troll back" to try and get rid of the "problem user", wich can derail the entire forum within an hour.

It's possible for a forum to have a light atmosphere and still be meaningful. My idea of light is interesting observations and witty humor (images are fine).
