RE: Problem With Penumbra? - Zaffre - 09-02-2012 SmokeMelvin, that isn't helpful. To address your problem, we'll need more information. Where did you get the game from? RE: Problem With Penumbra? - Ocean112 - 09-02-2012 A friend gave me it, he had it on a dvd-r disc. He said that the game was free and just gave me it. When trying to load it, files were missing from my System32 folder so it would seem. I replaced the missing files twice. Newton.dll or something and something else but now taht appears ![]() RE: Problem With Penumbra? - Melvin - 09-03-2012 (09-02-2012, 11:13 PM)Ocean112 Wrote: A friend gave me it, he had it on a dvd-r disc. Maybe you should try to get the Steam version? My guess is that the version you have now, is damaged. (I don't know if this is a common Penumbra issue, I'm more familiar with Amnesia but still.) Also, I don't think the game should be looking in System32, but correct me if I'm wrong. RE: Problem With Penumbra? - Robby - 09-03-2012 According to the error, you're missing a "Newton.dll" file. Which is a file that comes with the game. You've replaced it, according to the error, with an incompatible one (incorrect version). RE: Problem With Penumbra? - plutomaniac - 09-03-2012 And also the game is not free. |
