Gameplay problem - No Menu, can't save the game - Adamek1926 - 10-25-2012 Hi y'all, I've been having this problem since I got new PC. I installed my bought version of Amnesia, and when I start up the game, there is no main menu launched. I get right on the campaign, and whhen I pause the game, there isn't the ,,Save and quit" button. It is really starting to p*ss me off. So if some of you could help, I would really appreciate it. (PS: When I start the game, there are no Developer logos as usual) RE: Gameplay problem - No Menu, can't save the game - TheBlastPassage - 10-25-2012 If you got the game from Steam, right click on the game and verify the integrity of the game cache. You can do this by going on to the games properties and clicking local files. Otherwise, you might want to try reinstalling. Also, please post HPL.log and system specs. You can find the HPL.log in your documents/Amnesia/main It will be there. Just copy its contents and comment in this thread RE: Gameplay problem - No Menu, can't save the game - Adamek1926 - 10-25-2012 Here is the HPL.log -------- THE HPL ENGINE LOG ------------ Engine build ID 20100818114615 Creating Engine Modules -------------------------------------------------------- Creating graphics module Creating system module Creating resource module Creating input module Creating sound module Creating physics module Creating ai module Creating gui module Creating generate module Creating haptic module Creating scene module -------------------------------------------------------- Initializing Resources Module -------------------------------------------------------- Creating loader handlers Creating resource managers Adding loaders to handlers -------------------------------------------------------- Initializing Graphics Module -------------------------------------------------------- Setting video mode: 1920 x 1080 - 32 bpp Init Glew...OK Setting up OpenGL Vendor: NVIDIA Corporation Renderer: GeForce GT 230/PCIe/SSE2 Version: 3.3.0 Max texture image units: 32 Max texture coord units: 8 Max user clip planes: 8 Two sided stencil: 1 Vertex Buffer Object: 1 Anisotropic filtering: 1 Max Anisotropic degree: 16 Multisampling: 1 Texture compression: 1 Texture compression S3TC: 1 Auto generate MipMaps: 1 Render to texture: 1 Max draw buffers: 8 Max color render targets: 8 Packed depth-stencil: 1 Texture float: 1 GLSL Version: 3.30 NVIDIA via Cg compiler ShaderModel 2: 1 ShaderModel 3: 1 ShaderModel 4: 1 OGL ATIFragmentShader: 0 Adding engine materials Initializing DevIL Vendor String: Abysmal Software Version String: Developer's Image Library (DevIL) 1.6.8pre Aug 12 2006 Version Number: 168 Adding engine post effects -------------------------------------------------------- Initializing Sound Module -------------------------------------------------------- Initializing OpenAL Available OpenAL devices: 0. I also tried to install downloaded game, but same result. And reinstalling isn't working either... RE: Gameplay problem - No Menu, can't save the game - TheBlastPassage - 10-25-2012 Try running with lower settings. It may just be too much stress on your GPU. Also, I heard that using 1024x768 can help with some display options. However, it looks like your graphics card has the required OpenGL version and can clearly get past the launcher without a crash. There is a chance that some game files on the disc may have been corrupted. Sometimes that happens. I'm assuming that you bought the game as a disc in person because you said you got it from a game shop that you trust RE: Gameplay problem - No Menu, can't save the game - Adamek1926 - 10-25-2012 (10-25-2012, 01:52 PM)TheBlastPassage Wrote: Try running with lower settings. No Main Menu, only the campaign I can't even save. And yeah, I did. I already got a bunch of games from there RE: Gameplay problem - No Menu, can't save the game - TheBlastPassage - 10-25-2012 What Operating System are you using? But I was using vista in the times when it was working. My PC had some Graphics card problems and it had to be fixed, do you think that is causing the problems ? |
