I finished Bakemonogatari yesterday. I enjoyed it a lot, especially the characters felt very colorful and living.

You finished Bakemonogatari as in the adaptation of the novel? Or the entire Monogatari series as a whole?

If not you should totes check out nise neko kabuki otori oni and koimonogatari

aka all the monogataris

especially otorimonogatari

I assume he meant monogatari series second season anime.

No, I meant as in the "first" season of the anime.

Oh. Well, you've lot to go. The best is yet to come. Personally I think, bakemonogatari was good, Nisemonokatari was still good but weaker, monogatari second is a freaking masterpiece.

Well, then I have something to look forward to!

So I started watching Higurashi and what.

Can someone explain to me without spoilers (if that's possible) why episode 5 and 6 (which is where I've stopped) are just a retelling of the first four episodes?

RE: The (not BL but) Anime Thread - CorinthianMerchant - 02-09-2014

There are alternate timelines, each with different scenarios and character focus

RE: The (not BL but) Anime Thread - CorinthianMerchant - 02-12-2014

I've started watching Haibane Renmei, by the same director who did Serial Experiments Lain. It is very good so far and a lot less cryptic than SEL, but I have a feeling that it will have a glorious mindfuck in the end.

I also started watching Nisemonogatari and Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei S2, I don't really have anything to say about it since they are basically just more of the same (not that it's directly a bad thing).
