Amnesia Crashes - upsetgamer101 - 12-30-2012
I've done everything i can think of. I've checked and double checked my computer's information. It should be able to play Amnesia: the Dark Decent, but it doesn't.
I've already bought this game and i'm getting very frustrated that it keeps crashing.
The game loads up fine, it gets through the first few screens, but when the profile screen loads up, it crashes, EVERY TIME. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing. I've made sure that all other programs were shut down. I've done much more as well, but nothing works. I read through the technical support thread, and checked my graphics card drivers.
Here's my Renderer and Version:
Renderer: GeForce 7150M / nForce 630M/PCI/SSE2/3DNOW!
Version: 2.1.2
Please help me. I'd hate to think i just wasted my money.

Do you have the latest 179.48 driver from nvidia? If yes, something else is causing the crash. Most probably another application/service in the background.

I'm not sure. Where do I look to find out?
Actually I just found it. It says ForceWare version: 177.13
does this mean I need to update it? and if so, how do I do that?
