Steam does have annoying clutter, but it is often in the good spirit of notification.

i have cooled, that post is being removed, now,. if kman also removes his... lets say he jabbed a very hot dagger into a very sensitive reproductive organ with it.
ill agree to disagree and put him on ignore from now on.
now come on, on topic, whats ya'll opinions on DRM and Cheevos?

lol dark side. Just Stop.

RE: System Shock 2 - Bridge - 02-20-2013

What the fuck is cheevos? Achievements?

RE: System Shock 2 - Hunter of Shadows - 02-20-2013

Went to work...came back and found several posts filled with such blatant stupidity and childishness that I think I got brain damage from it

Lovely, thank you dark side for demonstrating your superior intellect once again, I bow to your sublime reign of genius and suave sophistication

EDIT: Oh and it needs to be said, the terms 'hardcore or casual gamer' are retarded

RE: System Shock 2 - Acies - 02-20-2013

On the matter of DRM: The installation time for installing Diablo3 was ridiculous on my computer. If that is entirely due to my computer getting old and weak or due to DRM I do not know. Anyway, I found that very frustrating.. In every other case I believe in developers' rights to protect their product, even though it might (in the end) prove futile.

I do not mind the steam interface either. I like steam. Cheap prices, easy access and a "free + permanent FTP" to store my games on. Saves harddrive space :]

I should really pick up System Shock, as I haven't played it yet. Is co-op an option in that game..?

Sweet merciful god, let it be sarcasm.

Yes. However, you should really play your first playthrough alone if you don't want to spoil the experience. Playing System Shock 2 in co-op would be like playing Amnesia in co-op... certainly fun, but completely misses the point of the game and destroys the entire atmosphere. Smile Also I don't think the co-op mode was ever a big focus of the game so it might be a lot buggier than single player.

RE: System Shock 2 - Prelauncher - 02-21-2013

Might pick up System Shock in the future, to see what all fuss is about ^^

On the subject of steam: I also like steam, it's convenient and (relatively) easy to use and it's not origin!
What I don't like is that I don't actually own the games. If shit happens with my account all my games there would be in danger. I preffer to be the sole owner of my game and not rent it over the internet. Totalbiscuit did a great video on the subject a while ago.

The sarcasm is laid on so thick there you could cut it, how is it even a question
