Menu fonts just could be better, while fonts in diary, notes etc. are really bad. If this was just an element of showing the game is actually an indie game, or some other issue, then please tell me (no pun intended).

I reviewed screenshots available on the 'net before I asked. I also cross-checked with my colegues playing at different res. and even different systems.

Now, if it's not possible, I'll get back to the game without problems. If possible, please throw me a hint as it would be nice to have better fonts. I'd just really appreciate if you don't make a fool of me.

I'm confused as to what the problem is... It's a pretty standard font. Do you just not like its appearance?

The fonts pretty much look that way in the game. As far as I know you can't change them through in-game settings.
However if you really dislike them, you can input some personal ones through a bit of work as you can see here: http://www.frictionalgames.com/forum/thread-11128.html

Oh, and a word of warning though, before you go throwing your fonts into Amnesia, know that some fonts may seem to display weirdly in the game. I personally have tried using fonts from a different language, and all the notes will become messed up. Some fonts will even crash the game.
So, before you try anything remember to back up files in case results are undesirable.
