The Last Door (Horror Game) - Zgroktar - 03-12-2013

Greetings my horror mates, I would like you to check something really worthwhile, to ease our impatience for the next Amnesia.
It is a pixel art, point and click horror adventure called The Last Door which draws inspiration from Howard Phillips Lovecraft and Edgar Allan Poe.

In this site you will get all the basic information (read the FAQ) and you can play the first chapter and raise funds for further development of the series (One euro is enough).

They also gained a very decent community of players which partake in an excellent ARG, which is, I must say, so much better than the ARG for the AAMFP Smile (They will probably let new players in)

This game first raised funds on Kickstarter and released its first chapter this month. I've played it through, and I must say I am really pleased with the visuals, atmosphere, story and incredible music. Even Frictional Games posted about them on their facebook page last year while they were still gathering their funds on Kickstarter, Frictional programmer is well acquainted with the developers team behind The Last Door (The Game Kitchen). All in all, I really recommend it to all of you. Here are some excellent trailers for the end.

I already played the interactive teaser. Very amnesia-like.

I grew up with pixelated games, but they don't work out for me anymore that much unless they were a old classic I played.

Horror, I don't know how I could get scared by a 8-bit monster. Unless the music was awfully frightening.

Believe me, At some scenes I was frozen. It is surprising to me how well can you be scared from a 8-bit game, and there is a potential for much much more! Your imagination is a powerful and important segment here.

Considering music, it is a highlight of the whole game, and for me personally it is worth to check the game just solely for the music, especially if you love piano and strings.

Just one Euro/Dollar is enough to play the first chapter, it can't get any cheaper than that Smile

It says that you can pay any amount you want to open the first chapter, for other bonuses and rewards, you can pay more if you like. But for just playing the first chapter, the smallest possible amount is enough.
