black screen when starting a new game - Reinhardt -  05-17-2008
 
 
I'm having a problem with penumbra overture! 
I have a Centrino duo 1.66ghz, with 1gb RAM, but my graphics cards sucks, its from the Intel 945G chipset family... it has Pixel shader v2, claims to have  vertex shader x2, but it's software emulated, something like that, and doesnt have TNL(this last one pisses me off!) 
usually i have to use 3DAnalyze to force TNL emulation... 
 
but back to the point, when i start a new game, after the loading ends, i get a black screen, CPU Usage for the games stays at about 45~55%... i can hear the sounds but can't see anything. 
 
oh btw, i lowered every graphics option...

yeah i know it is not support :S  
but i still didn't loose my hope lol 
i really wanna play... oh well guess i'll just have to waait a while until i get another computer with a descent graphics cards
