I'd have to say Uzumaki was a lot more scarring than Gyo, for me at least. Overall, though, Junji Ito's got some really nice stuff; definitely recommend you check out more of his works if you haven't.
I have the Uzumaki serie in my room, i really like junji ito's work. By the way, Gio was more disgusting than scary. D:

I saw a corpse once. Didn't scare me. But to be honest I didn't knew how to react. Saw her (I think its a she) in the middle of the road whit some cops interrogating a couple. I just standed there for a minute. Than I just had to move on. The part that affected me a bit was that lots of kids were nearby.
