The HPL2 engine causes processor clock interuppt. - Rector - 04-20-2013

Greetings!

I've been working on my custom story for about a month now, using both Amnesia TDD, Justine and White Night Conversion models for it. However, it has become quite a big problem recently when I, about 1-20 mins using the editor, recieve a blue screen saying "a clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor". It's always the same BSoD and it doesn't matter if I'm using original Amnesia models only or together with WN.

My components are:
Intel Core i5-3570k 3.40 GHz (quad-core)
AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB RAM

I've checked the HPL2 editor version, it was downloaded 7/2-2013.

I've been using the editor just fine before the BSoD's occured, which was about a month ago. Were using the WN models back then too without any issue.

Any help is highly appriciated!
Kind regards!

I'm not entitled to answer but.. Try running it on one core? Go into taskmanager>processes>right click

It's some sort of hardware issue. Maybe you have some overclocking done causing instability? Also, make sure you have the latest BIOS applied.

Alright, will try running on 1 core only.

I have overclocked the processor via settings from BIOS, I will set it to normal mode.

Thank you!

Tried on 1 core, and it's laggy. Really laggy. However, no crashes so far.
Will try 2 cores to see if that could increase preformance and still not crash. It ran on all 4 before.

As for the overclocking.. Haven't turned back to normal yet, will do that if it crashes.

it's the overclock. It is very unstable.

Alright, thanks! Will turn it to normal.
