Hey, what you think about The Path?) I think this is a grate step to progress, mysterious story with morality, that makes you think about your life)

I liked The Path, but I don't really think of it as a horror game.

I read a review of it in PC Gamer Sweden, it looked nice. I might try it someday. Smile

Pathologic, a pretty original dark adventure game made by an obscure team of Russian devs. Anybody played it ? While it's not technically "survival horror", this game fits the "horror" or "nightmare fuel" label nonetheless. There are no supernatural monsters or ghosts, just pure psychological horror among a bizzare and decaying example of human society.

The setting is an eerie decaying town somewhere in Siberia at the beginning of the 20. century. A mysterious plague has fallen on the local populace. You take the role of one of three potential healers (a young doctor, a shaman, a psychic girl) who have just arrived there, and try to turn the tables in the hopeless struggle against the dark ever-present epidemic.

Although the game lacks top-notch graphics, it offers a surpisingly dynamic world, a on-the-fly evolving story and a genuinely surreal atmosphere. Make no mistake - it's not another run-of-the-mill survival horror set in a shanty town, nor an RPG, nor a typical action game. Though flawed in some areas (the writers created more original and gripping elements and ideas than the programmers), Pathologic seems like a fine haunting experience...

You pretty much failed with the linking there. All except the eurogamer link 404s for me.
The game sounds interesting though. Sounds like one of those crazy indie games that dare to do what big devs don't, which I generally like, so I'll check it out.

That's the great thing with Indie devs. They do all the experimenting and finding new interesting gameplay, while the big game companies continue with the same old style until they die. Smile:

Do those texts contain spoilers by the way? The Eurogamer one contained some information I think I'd rather find out myself.

If I remember well, the three-part article on RockPaperShotgun.com contains quite a lot, especially the third part...
