RE: Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs Discussion Topic Part 2 - BirdhouseInYourSoul - 06-03-2013 I'm going to be pessimistic here and say that all this waiting has made us expect a better, and better, and better game the longer we have to wait... And our expectations are just soaring through the roof and we're thinking at the end of this wait we'll have the most incredible game ever made. However, what we will actually end up with is a pretty good game, but our expectations will be so high that the game will just seem like a turd. RE: Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs Discussion Topic Part 2 - Spaceman - 06-04-2013 Tonights game of thrones has just thrown me so hard I am retreating to this thread to look for any new information regarding the game. By the way, does anyone know the stats on how many people sent in screams of piggies? RE: Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs Discussion Topic Part 2 - Paddy™ - 06-04-2013 (06-03-2013, 11:17 PM)fancreeper Wrote: Paddy is now in a corner ...crying Sorry guys, my brother took control of my account and posted some stuff over the last few weeks. I hope it wasn't anything embarrassing... The little guy in the sewer was already spotted before June 3rd: http://www.frictionalgames.com/forum/thread-21385-post-230069.html#pid230069 EDIT: For anyone worrying about our expectations being too high: https://twitter.com/danpinchbeck/statuses/341804888218537984 RE: Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs Discussion Topic Part 2 - Deep One - 06-04-2013 (06-04-2013, 07:32 AM)Paddy Wrote: The little guy in the sewer was already spotted before June 3rd We know this. What is your point? RE: Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs Discussion Topic Part 2 - Paddy™ - 06-04-2013 TiberiusBond was crediting me for my June 3rd prediction based on the discovery of the little guy, but it was known before that. EDIT: now that I re-read his post he may have been referring to the new Super Secret Project image from the FG blog. RE: Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs Discussion Topic Part 2 - Draug - 06-04-2013 Quote:EDIT: For anyone worrying about our expectations being too high: Hmm..., that's music to my ears. RE: Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs Discussion Topic Part 2 - Ossie - 06-04-2013 (06-04-2013, 07:32 AM)Paddy Wrote: EDIT: For anyone worrying about our expectations being too high: As the main writer/developer of AAMFP, Dan isn't really going to tweet something like: "Played Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs for the first time in a couple of weeks. Bored me senseless. Waste of time" now is he? I'm pretty sure it's bloody wonderful, but I'll reserve final judgement until it's released and I've played it for myself. BTW, well done to Dan on increased interest for the superb Dear Esther due to its inclusion in Humble Bundle 8 - that's THREE times that I've purchased the game now (first time on Steam, then DRM free from dear-esther.com, and now HB8 - although I mainly bought HB8 for Proteus and Thomas Was Alone). RE: Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs Discussion Topic Part 2 - felixmole - 06-04-2013 I take it the game is finished if FG had DP play it with their own cast. Although - correct me if I'm wrong - the first gameplay trailers of TDD were released in June. RE: Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs Discussion Topic Part 2 - Sarcophagus - 06-04-2013 remember when some guys 'calculated' some crap i can't remember and they thought the game will be released at the beginning of this month? well you can eat shit right now and cry RE: Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs Discussion Topic Part 2 - Ossie - 06-04-2013 (06-04-2013, 02:03 PM)felixmole Wrote: I take it the game is finished if FG had DP play it with their own cast. I guess that could be called a test really - even a few months ago Dan mentioned on his Twitter account that he had played through it. and even if it's truly 'finished' then the localisations, etc will still be ongoing. Remember, according to Jens we shouldn't expect a release until the end of Summer. Quote:Although - correct me if I'm wrong - the first gameplay trailers of TDD were released in June. Good point. Maybe we'll see a trailer 'soon' ......... |
