What Program to use to make Models? - VeNoMzTeamHysterical - 06-03-2013

So i have done 2 years study for Graphic Design, And i would like to make some Models but i have absolutely no idea which Program i need for it.

So if anyone can give me the Name or Link of the program.
And also a Tutorial can be very useful for me and some tips.

You can download a 3 year educational version if you register, tutorials that cover the basics are EVERYWHERE on the internet.

For modeling you can use Autodesk 3ds Max, Autodesk Maya (which was used for the actual game), or the absolutely free, open-source, program called Blender (which, I must say, has become quite an awesome application). The models need to be exported to the COLLADA format (.dae file).

However, IIRC, if you want to animate those models (create new monsters, etc.), you'll have to use Maya, but not any version will work: it has to be Maya 2008 - 2011. Newer versions won't export the same way, and I don't know if earlier versions can be used at all.

Well i gonna start with static objects like planes, walls, etc.
