RE: Mirror's Edge 2 - Macgyverthehero - 06-11-2013

Mirror's Edge 2 is probably the last EA game I'm gonna get. I loved the first one and I hope they don't fuck it up with the second.

I might add Starwars Battlefront (III) cause my brother might want that.

Nice try EA, you won't get me that easily.

I wasn't really impressed with the first one, it ended way to early and the gameplay/story was forgettable.

Surely not the gameplay? It's really fluid and has a nice balance of being fun and challenging (excepting the last levels). It left a deep impression on me at least. I don't even remember what the story was but the gameplay is really solid IMO.

"I don't even remember what the story"

So we're in agreement, then?

I think the gameplay wasn't bad, but it didn't really leave me with a feeling of "awesome!" I should also mention it took me 6 months to finish the game because it didn't really appeal to me that much.

RE: Mirror's Edge 2 - Acies - 06-11-2013

I love mirror's edge. The feel, the music and the artstyle. Would buy number 2.

I have to agree with people that story was pretty much uninteresting and characters were boring.
Gameplay was still unique and that's why I loved it!

Yes, we are agreed. You can read my thoughts above, where I stated essentially the same thing. Boring story with uninteresting characters, but enjoyable gameplay and general aesthetics (I would have changed a lot of things but generally speaking I like the way the game looks and feels).

In the original mirror's edge I loved the whole setting of the game and I ESPECIALLY love the music in it. The music fits every part of a level properly whenever your staring out at the city, to running from the blues.

For the story, I found it to be easy to figure out. The rest of the game I must say was amazing. No other game I can think of can match it's artistic style to the one that Mirror's Edge owns, It is unique to it's own ability and I hope to run around in the city once again in Mirror's Edge 2.

They want to make it open-world now.
If they manage to do that right, ME2 will be a great game.

I'd love that.
