I agree that certain things are too trivial to even be considered problems, but in the first world there is by definition no such thing as a non-first world problem. If it's enough to cause someone distress, it's a problem - no matter how bad somebody else has it.

You're right Bridge, sorry about that.

With all this rage going on, I just had a thought.

I am pretty fortunate to be a native English speaker. The internets default language seems to be English.

Orrrr.... At the same time, its not a good thing since knowing a second language is always a benefit.

Depends on where you live or where you want to visit.

I personally think choosing English as the "international language" was a bad idea. I'd much prefer it were a neutral language to all. Like Esperanto.

Because whit English, all the other countries are constantly bombarded whit American/English media. Not that knowing other cultures is a bad thing. But having so much stuff coming from a single spot, can be rather annoying and start to seem like indoctrination (if it isn't already). Not to mention sometimes it pisses me off English speaking people being able to speak whit almost everyone around the globe while the rest of us have to learn English in order to speak whit them. It seams a bit unfair really.

The international language should be Japanese.

The whole world would be a lot more kawaii.

I'm totally going to reply dat like as if you wer being cereal.

It would still be the same. Instead of being bombarded by American culture. we would be by Japanese culture instead. Cultural empowerment never brings good to anyone. Intense Anti-Japanese movements would arise (like many already do to the American one).

Try learning another language, it's really fun comparing rules in different languages that subtlety hint the ways thoughts are constructed in different cultures. E.g. reading translated version of Black Rain, the novel seems really plain and emotionally detached. However in Japanese, the exchange of simple words between people mean a whole lot than what it seems like on the surface. Like how "ai shiteru" literally means "I love you", which is what English speakers say everyday, but it actually means "OMG BBY I LUV YA SO MUCH SO PLSSSS PLSSS MARRY ME" and is rarely said compared to "suki" or just "like" but everywhere in BL. I guess it's a rather "sensitive" language.

I don't understand why the French like to put their adjectives before the noun though, maybe the quality is more important than the subject? Big Grin Like who cares whatdafaq it is, as long as it's awesome!

Excuse my overuse of "like", I do that when I'm excited.

Edit: Chronofox, kawaii enough for you?
