1920x1080 = Full HD
There's new format coming: UHD .

Do you know how high resolution it uses?
7680×4320

20 minute video takes about 28Tb of storage...

RE: What resolution do you use? - Sexbad - 07-28-2009

Who would buy a disc for that?

RE: What resolution do you use? - Kedjane - 07-28-2009

UHD sounds very, very useless. How big would a 7680x4320 monitor be anyways? Like... six times higher than a 1680x1050 and four times wider? Plus I can think of plenty of other things to sore in 28Tb.

I don't make these things. Tongue:

But if you're more interested about it: Read more of it from Wikipedia.

I use 1440x900 on the desktop.

Will try to use it in penumbra too.

It doesn't depend on size that much I believe. I've seen 15.4" notebooks with 1920x1200 support while mostly you find 24 - 26" screens to have that resolution by default.

Yeah, I have a 46 inch HDTV that runs at 1080p. If it were a computer monitor it would be like a 23 inch or something.

If you have a UHDTV that goes by the really high-resolution laptop display standard that Fred mentioned, it would be like a regular 60 inch HDTV now but with sixteen times the resolution.

Imagine playing Crysis, but then you'd get bored because it's boring so you watch Ratatouille or something.

Enough with complaining at every single good game the past decade yet?

far cry with more pixels and worse controls
and aliens instead of mutants

But a movie on that kind of screen would be fucking amazing

Far Cry with a million times better graphics in every aspect, just as good controls (how can controls be "worse" in a PC game anyways?) and a more original plot, I'd say.
