Someone asked about a humble store game pre-load (not via the steam key). That's not possible because the humble version is DRM-free. The moment you download it and install it, you can start playing. So, it will be available for download at 10/09.

I wonder if there is also this "time restriction" for the humblestore and gog users. In my country the steam version is first available at 8 PM. Is there any info regarding that topic?

What I'm saying is that these platforms cannot support pre-loading to my experience. Also, when I said humble I meant the Humble Store. The same should apply for GOG purchases.

EDIT: Actually, I'm not sure about GOG. I saw that it did support preloading for Witcher 2 for example. Don't know how but maybe an admin can tell us if there's preloading for anything else other than steam.

Part of me regrets having to play AAMFP without my good friend, as he has to study for an exam that's taking place the day after the release. I personally can't afford to wait 'till the weekend to play it as I've refrained from all these spoilers for so long (2 weeks lol) and I can't hold it back anymore at that point.

Hey pluto, my question was not if they support preloading, I wanted to know if I can download the game directly (from my humble account) on the 10th september, without waiting until 8 PM. Big Grin
Or do they also activate the download later the day?

And can't you play the next day after his exam? (I know that feel, bro)

I think the rest of the week is also cluttered with more and more exams... what a shame.

Thanks, that does make sense (although I guess I was kind of hoping that a Humble Store download could made available if it was encrypted with a user-specific password - that way it would be possible to pre-download the game and unlock it on the 10th with a Humble Store-supplied password). But, well, it was just an idea. Smile

I guess us Humble Store purchasers will have to wait, or hope that we get the free Steam key before release. Or just be patient for an extra hour or two. Smile

As far as I know the keys for humble store users have been added, so you can activate the game on steam and pre-load if you like.

Hmm, unfortunately I don't have the option to redeem a steam key. Just get this message when I click on "AAMFP":

"Thanks for pre-ordering! When Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs is ready, you'll be able to get it right here on your download page."
