..Im most disappointed to hear the sanity meter and blur effects when looking at enemies have gone. I can deal with no inventory and infinite lantern but I have a feeling the lack of on screen effects when looking at enemies is really going to dampen the experience. I hope im wrong, but a lot of reviewers have been saying it feels a little bare bones without this stuff.

The sanity effect was just annoying and made everything look like shit in my opinion. Glad they removed it.

No inventory i know is find with me, sanity, R.I.P i liked it but even with it gone it can still be good enough for me. Infinite Lantern.....Ehhhhhhhh, i guess thats not tooooo bad. Ill miss some of the old features, all i hope is for some good scares, an awesome story, and i hope to be paranoid a bit like the first amnesia.

Not really. Two entirely different games. Outlast does have good horror, nowhere near as good as TDD though. Play both, and you'll see you really cant compare the two. Take away the fantastic graphics and camera Outlast is a very good generic horror game.
Seriously, obviously I'm a hypocrite now, but can we please stop comparing Outlast and A Machine for Pigs? Play both, then you can judge.
I also wish Sanity was brought back, the darkness has no threat anymore.
