AAMFP web site is gone - tzb - 09-11-2013 What happened to the Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs web site? http://aamfp.com now redirects to http://store.steampowered.com/app/239200. This makes it difficult for people to learn about the various purchasing options available, such as Humble Store which includes a Steam Key in addition to DRM free downloads. RE: AAMFP web site is gone - plutomaniac - 09-12-2013 Maybe it's being updated and in the meantime redirects to the steam store page? RE: AAMFP web site is gone - zico - 09-12-2013 I agree. I do have my problems with DRM platforms and seeing the page just redirected to steam is just... meh. Not to mention that's not really nice in terms of competition. RE: AAMFP web site is gone - jens - 09-12-2013 It is redirected to steam because we wanted to have the game presented in many languages not only english and only steam offers the 10 localisations of the game presentation and hardware requierments. It was the fastest solution so we could spend more time on tech support and so on for the time being. RE: AAMFP web site is gone - zico - 09-12-2013 Well in that case: Will non-Steam versions of the game get any updates then? I know Steam versions update automatically but after buying from humblebundle I don't know where to check for updates. frictionalgames site? humblebundle store? RE: AAMFP web site is gone - jens - 09-12-2013 They will get updates, I sent them updates yesterday when we thought we were done testing, only to find a new issue. So I mailed them directly and asked them to hold the updates. I am just about to send them a new mail with links to the new updated version that brings it up to the same as what we have been testing with the Steam version. |
