aamfp website down - Diango12 - 10-04-2013

I don't know if this has been addressed already, if so then please feel free to close this thread.

What is going on with the http://aamfp.com/ site? It seems to be down.

Well... Is there a reason for it to be open anymore?
The game is out Smile
You can find lots of stuff about it on Steam and Frictional Games site.

RE: aamfp website down - Diango12 - 10-04-2013

Game websites don't usually shutdown after a couple of weeks post release. Even for an indie company this is not the norm. Heck, TDD's site is still up. The game is out and its still selling. IP's don't just die after a few weeks.

Probably since somasystems.org (FG's teaser for their next project) is taking up too many bandwidth. If AAMFP takes more, then why not take it down? It's already out anyways.

Then I wonder why http://www.amnesiagame.com and http://www.penumbragame.com are still available. Smile

I think that the AAMFP website was a good way to promote the game and inform people about all the stores that sell it (although Frictional Games also published that information on their official website).

Remember! Just because we've seen that website thousands of times doesn't mean there aren't good folk out there who never have, and want to visit it for the first time! Smile

RE: aamfp website down - Rya.Reisender - 10-04-2013

Actually the website was already removed on release date and replaced with a link to Steam.

I also think that was a bad move. There are plenty of people preferring a DRM-free version and after release it was actually quite hard to find out how to get one (luckily I pre-ordered).

RE: aamfp website down - Romulator - 10-04-2013

Well, if you do go to http://www.amnesiagame.com/ If you look down the bottom, you can see a few things about aamfp, and one of them gives you this: http://www.frictionalgames.com/site/node/128

Which although is not the official aamfp site, it does have the details for buying and stuff, and so too does the official frictionalgames site.

You can also find the necessary storyline description practically anywhere now Tongue

RE: aamfp website down - Ashtoreth - 10-18-2013

For those who haven't noticed yet, the website is back!

RE: aamfp website down - plutomaniac - 10-18-2013

Am I the only one who thinks that website is really bad? I mean it has practically no info on the game, no requirements, quotes, an old youtube teaser etc...

What's wrong with a simple webpage like the one Penumbra and Amnesia have?
