What's wrong with a simple webpage like the one Penumbra and Amnesia have?

Probably. I see no issues with it, it don't need to list spec req explicitly, gamestore should do it. And it has teaser.

RE: aamfp website down - Damascus Rose - 10-21-2013

I also think the the website is pretty bad. For those same reasons

RE: aamfp website down - Kein - 10-21-2013

Well we are sorry that a web-site for pretty much indie low-budged game isn't a porrtal-cms system, with its own forums, site, blog ans store, integrated with each other for your pleasure.

We truly do.

RE: aamfp website down - plutomaniac - 10-21-2013

We? Who is we? Amnesia & Penumbra sites are also by indie devs and they look just fine. Either way, it doesn't matter that they are indie. There is no price difference when it comes to the creation/organization of such sites.

But in comparison to the SOMA website, they doesn't look that good. Big Grin For a game, I just want a homepage with a teaser/trailer and a small description, just like FGs other pages. They accomplish their purpose.

RE: aamfp website down - Damascus Rose - 10-21-2013

I just think it should at least be as good as dark descent's, at least. Right now it just looks like a poor teaser site

Yes, exactly. For the teaser and the very little info known a year ago that site is great. But it cannot be compared to amnesiagame.com for example.

Who said they can pay for it? Budget for AMFP much lower than Amnesia and the game itself was smaller and shorter. To make website "more creative" you have to pay to these more creative and skilled people. And the fact that game was delayed for whole year does not help. FG were busy with their own project and TCR worked on Pigs and Rapture both, they had nor time nor interested to do beautifully designed web-site so you all can be happy. And why should they? The gam eweren't supposed to have massive ad campaign. IIRC someone from FG even said they didn't want to make trailers.

I though it was obvious. Guess not for everyone.
