The way the mouse controls work and since there is not really any need for precision I have discovered for myself when I mapped my 360 controller to the game it controls much better with a gamepad. Feels more natural.

I use a track/marble mouse myself (ball is on top) and that works great. I hear people say the mouse is hard to use in the game, but I guess they're using other types of mice. because in all honesty, this trackball mouse works great in almost everything I have encountered, games, office, internet, you name it. I will NEVER go back to the other style mice.
