RE: Technology in Film Survey (For College) - Nice - 10-13-2013 1. 17 2. 7/10 3. Thriller, drama, adventuressss! 4. once a year if not even less 5. Expensive but i can understand why 6. Pro: Big screen & good sound.. Con: People might disturb you 7. No idea, mind blank about this *shrug* 8. Dredd 9. When do I get my $8 for doing this? RE: Technology in Film Survey (For College) - Draug - 10-13-2013 Spoiler below!
RE: Technology in Film Survey (For College) - Deep One - 10-13-2013 1. 15-18 2. 8 3. Thriller, fantasy, horror 4. 1-3 times/year 5. Prices are too high 6. +social benefits +audio + big screen -3D glasses are heavy and uncomfortable, especially if you wear glasses -price tag -people who talk/eat loudly 8. Man of Steel 9. You can always watch the 2D version if you don't like 3D, so I don't think it matters. 10. "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" was in 48 fps, right? To be honest, I didn't like it. It looked way too "real" and smooth. But yeah, it's gonna take over 24 fps. RE: Technology in Film Survey (For College) - Wooderson - 10-13-2013 Just want to let you know Robo, you're the first out of about 12 people to say no on Q9 and agree to Q10. RE: Technology in Film Survey (For College) - Prelauncher - 10-13-2013 1. 19 2. 9 3. Horror, drama and thriller 4. Once a month or less, it varies. 5. The prices are usually why I don't go. 5. If there's a home cinema avaliable then I'd rather watch at home. If not then I'd rather watch at the cinema due to the in many cases superior equpiment. 6. Like previous posts: Pro; video and sound quality etc. Con; tickets, the risk of annoying people. 7. Producers? I dunno, make sure to market the movie as much as possible? 8. Avatar. Absolutely gorgeous in 3D at the cinema but almost everything in the movie has been done better in other movies. 9. Yes. Many movies seem to be in 3D because of 3D. If a movie is made in a way that the 3D enhances the experience (like the Hobbit) then I say go for it. But if the 3D is just added in post-production just for the sake of having 3D so they can say "oh we use 3D" I'd rather keep it in 2D because usually this means sacrificing overall video quality. 10. Great. It makes the movie look better so it would be stupid to complain. RE: Technology in Film Survey (For College) - Ashtoreth - 10-13-2013 My answers: Spoiler below!
RE: Technology in Film Survey (For College) - Bridge - 10-13-2013 1. 18-21. 2. 10. 3. Comedy, film noir and courtroom drama. 4. Once or twice a month. 5. Too expensive. 5. I prefer going to the cinema. 6. Pros: Big high-resolution screen, large sound, complete darkness Cons: Other people, inability to rewind, localized subtitles. 7. Make better movies. 8. RIPD. 9. Yes. The technology isn't there yet. 10. If it works better than 24, then I support it. If not, 24 doesn't bother me at all. RE: Technology in Film Survey (For College) - i3670 - 10-13-2013 1. How old are you? 18-21 2. 9. 3. Drama and some special forms of sci-fi 4. Depends on what movies are available 5. Reasonable 5. Home 6. Pro: Fresh popcorn. Con: People. 7. Produce good movies ![]() 8. Modern technology when showing the movie such as 3D or surround sound? Or modern technology for the movie to be made? 9. I feel that it is a gimmick 10. I thought we could only register 24 frames/second. So I guess it'd be redundant. |
