First dangerous encounter question - scout109 - 11-13-2013

How do I get passed the first pig (bottom of the church I think) without being detected/chased after? I cant find anything after googling.

Spoiler below!

When you are walking towards him, there is a fork in the path, and if you go left, you will run into him. If you go right, go into the corner and hide there quietly, he will ignore you if you dont have your lantern on/facing him.

He may come around the corner but wont attack you if you dont draw attention to yourself, allowing you to get past nice and easily!

The game isn't meant to be won, you do not need to google anything. Just play the game and immerse yourself.

Well even with that being true still would be nasty if you kept dying, and couldn't progress.

BTW, I never died in AMFP to the first couple pig grunts, so I have no idea what happens if you do, and if they go away, or not.

I remember watching a playthrough where someone died at the first pig under the church. Was no longer there after respawn.

Turn off the lantern and hide behind the cages, you have to take advantage by the dark. So wait he' s far enough and then move forward.
