RE: What do you hope to see and not see in SOMA? - Moosenstein - 03-08-2014

If this game manages to bring in existential horror along with the ambiance and uneasiness that comes to the field with a sentient robot uprising I will be one happy little schoolgirl.

I really hope that as the story progresses the main character slowly becomes assimilated and an inner turmoil is created as you struggle to keep your very being intact with the Climax/Epilogue being the grand reveal of what you have become.

This is by far going to be at the top of my wish-list until it is released and I think you have a gold-mine of a playing field to work with here.

Nothing is more disturbing than not being yourself.

The only thing I ask for is Oculus Rift support

Thomas said something along the lines of OR not being supported but they might do some sort of OR-DLC. (This was in an interview or something, I can't remember.)

I'm skeptical of the protagonist having a voice. I've never been a fan of that in games. *Glares at Booker DeWitt*

Booker DeWitt is one of my favorite protagonists! Sometimes silent protagonists are a nice touch and help with the immersion (BioShock), but then sometimes in the case of BioShock: Infinite, the protagonists that talk help build the character development of him/her. Which then means you care for that character a lot more and don't want him to die.

I don't want to have Facebook or any other kind of product placement.
