Annoying Textures and Spiking Graphics *Black Plague* - rods - 02-01-2009
I have read up as much as I could, I've uninstalled and installed the latest drivers for my video card several times but still no luck. I've tinkered with all the in-game options as well as catalyst controls. I have a Radeon 9600 pro, updated up to version 9.1 (the latest). I'm not sure what else I can do, but the textures in game sometimes, more often than not, spike through the wall and pretty much make some areas unplayable. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi ! I've also seen this. Have not found any solution as of yet. Have you tried lowering the settings, or shutting something off, the shader seems to always be the main problem.

Well, thanks dude. It helped somewhat but things, like the graphics, look a lot worse now. Also, there is still a bit of spiking in some places, mostly roofs and corners and it seems if I don't have my flashlight on, everything goes black except for doors and the ceiling lighting. Lol. I dunno what to do.

Have you tried turning bloom off? Sometimes it can cause strange problems
Have you tested with running the game in the deafult 800*600 resolution?
You could also take the hpl.log, zip it and post it here. It's in "My Documents/Penumbra/Black Plague/"
