Solarix Kickstarter (Horror stealth game) - SHODANFreeman - 07-21-2014

They describe it as a mix of System Shock 2 and Thief, but I think it's also got a healthy dose of Deus Ex and Amnesia in there.
It looks very interesting, and the Kickstarter has a very reasonable goal.
I backed it for £40.

If I remember correctly DavidS on these forums has worked on this games artwork. The thumbnail for the video is a drawing he made atleast.

yeah, I do the promo illustration stuff for them and some small graphic design things here and there when I have the time (actual ingame 2D art is 99% by Adelson Tavares by the way: http://www.adelsontavares.com/blog/ ).
Really nice and ambitious team! Great to see that it makes its round.

At the beginning I thought "what an atmospheric game", but the killing stuff totally ruined the horror feeling and let it seems like a conventional action & shooting game.

There will be a lot of stealth, and a lot less fighting. The enemies will be very dangerous and hard to fight. Essentially, it will be somewhere in between Deus Ex and Penumbra Overture, I would imagine.
