Bump. Seems like people forgot this thread with AAMFP.

Well, I just made two models, an M-16 and AK-47. The AK model is made from the M16 model so seeing a similarity is normal.

Spoiler below!

As you can see, it's not textured yet except the M16. The body is textured so that you guys can see the extra stuff that's not visible.

Still something.

Organic alien-like mesh made in about an hour:

First, I made the basic shapes (head, arms, etc) and then I sculpted it with dynamic topology, a GREAT tool to work with.

Later, I'll texture it and I'll stick some dead space suit-like robotical stuff, and a cibernetic eye as well. Texturing this will take me some time though...

@JsutAnotherPlyr pls

The shape of these weapons is ok, but they lack a lot of details.
Also, the "textured" m16... by my point of view that isn't texturing, it's wrapping a photo around a cube:

The good way is to:

-Get a good UV map of your model (mark seams and all of that stuff)
-Bake textures and save the pic as (m16.png)
-Then, open a pic (the metal pic you used itself) in GIMP/Photoshop and open it as a new layer, then set it to multiply (at last it's like this in GIMP)

-To add further detail, you might want to download some scratch brushes and add some stuff.

This tutorial would be good for you: (trust me, you learn a lot)

Here's some progress in my monster, some mechanical parts added, more to be added in the future, however. It doesn't have a texture yet:

@JonnyAnomaly

Your stuff is great man, seriously. You seem to like fantasy-themed characters, I like them too, but I always like to add a touch of my imagination (which usually turns them quite disturbing)

Do you make models with your sketches or do you just draw the ideas? I'm curious to see if you have 3D stuff of your characters Smile

I'd say widen the cheeks a bit, but other than that, not too shabby.

Lulu is cute, but no support beats my Nami <3

Nah, don't want to widen the cheeks, whilst she does have a massive head in-game I find her way cuter this way.
