the game loads, shows the gamma settings, shows the resolution settings, and then shows the circular logo with the face in the middle of what somehwat looks like a sun and then it just shuts down and goes to desktop and in the process changes the monitor resolution and being i have dual monitors it also places each monitor on top of each other in the display settings. Ive tried changing the resolution to a small size and also taking it off "Full screen" mode which makes it worse. any ideas?

Check troubleshooting guides and if nothing helps, check problem x and do as requested.
