Not working.

Is it Windows 7 x64?

I guess the game bought through Steam has some serious problems, since everyone have come here to tell about they're problems with the game bought through STEAM.
Last time I saw this much problem threads about Penumbra was when they were just released Black Plague. Almost as much new threads about crashes, graphic problems and other stuff in a week now...

I have boxed version of Overture, ATI's HD card and had graphic problems, but all of them we're gone when I installed patch for it. And I'm running Windows 7 (x64).

Almost everyone have problems with the game bought through Steam.

Yes, x64 and I haven't bought throught STEAM, box version.

What model is your GPU, scraper?
I've got a friend with an HD4850 and his game is fine, so it's not all 'HD' series cards.

Then there's everything I've found online - being everyone with this issue having either a 2xxx or 3xxx series ATi card, which as I said in an earlier post, both use the same GPU core.

So it could be an issue with those cards specifically.

Mine is ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2.
Have you guys tried lowering the settings?
Like turning off Bloom effect, Vsync and stuff?

Sometimes something simple like that worked with people...

@ Greenie:
What version of the game you are running? Non-patched?

I think I read on the Steam forum that the Steam versions of the game are fully updated, so I guess that's why your game is fine after it's updated, as you have a 4xxx series card, not the 3xxx or 2xxx series.

I'll give the Bloom, and other graphical options a shot.
I've already tried it with V-Sync on and off, and I have tried various different resolutions with no success.

Strange that Steam version have so much problems with the game... O.o
Also, try lowering the graphics and stuff like that. Mess around the graphic settings.

In case you are interested: Here's support site for Penumbra games... Maybe you get lucky and find something from there!

Or, you can try to contact Steam about the problem... Since it's they're version of the game.

I lowered all my graphics options, and the game went crazy.
I recorded a video and uploaded it to megaupload... take a look.
Ignore the squashed aspect ratio - Windows Movie Maker seems to hate widescreen for some reason.

Tried that before coming here.
There's nothing of interest there.
