Level editor - planes textures missing? - Raivish - 12-19-2014 So I bought a new PC and installed Amnesia: The Dark Descent. 2 days later I installed Level Editor again - on new PC, i have worked with Level Editor before. I started a new story, added walls (static objects), some doors, chairs and tables (entities), and when tried to add floor (primitives) the texture was missing, like it just wasn't showing up. I checked textures folder, and all files are there. Google doesn't have answer, so what could i do? What did I do wrong? RE: Level editor - planes textures missing? - Neelke - 12-19-2014 Is there a .mat file available? The Level Editor requires a texture in .mat format to get it in as a primitive in game. RE: Level editor - planes textures missing? - Neelke - 12-19-2014 Basically the .mat folder is created throughout the Material Editor. You add in the textures to the Material Editor (such as normal map (nrm) and specular (spec) which you already have there I see) and when you save it, it should save itself as a .mat file. It isn't too hard to mess around with. Just play around with it and it will be a piece of cake. So when i save it, it shows that folder has two files in it, and they're both .mat files, basically everything is good, but through folder it still shows previous files. Any other ideas or did i undertood something wrong? RE: Level editor - planes textures missing? - Mudbill - 12-19-2014 You already have your mat files in that folder. You need to enable extensions in Windows by pressing alt, then going Tools > Folder Options and on the 2nd tab, untick the "Hide extensions for known file types." Then you can see that you do have your mat files. They're labelled as Microsoft Access Table or something. Okay, i see .mat files in folder, but how can i make that level editor sees them? RE: Level editor - planes textures missing? - Neelke - 12-20-2014 If they're there, you should be able to put them out as primitive in Level Editor now. |
