Why no warning that videocard is not compatible? - twillight - 02-06-2015

This company STEALS MONEY FROM PEOPLE by only telling them AFTER BUYING their products what the requirements are (and those requirements are totally unnecessary to actually run the products aside advertisement-agreement with hardware-companies).

At the very least there should be a small program what users could download and check if they'll be able to run the products or not, as otherwise it is impossible to figure out.
Not AFTER INSTALLING the product.

This company is a FARCE. A scandal. AVOID THEM LIKE PLAGUE!Angry

Hi,

What is your graphics card? You should have a look at these guides if you haven't done so already:

Amnesia T.D.D. Graphics Card Troubleshooting Guide
Amnesia T.D.D. Troubleshooting Guide

You might find a solution to your problem, depending on your GPU model.

Keep in mind that sellers are solely responsible for publishing the minimum system requirements provided by the game developers/publishers in their respective websites. All the main stores I could find that sell ATDD have a warning about possible GPU incompatibilities and limitations, with the exception of Desura where I could not find that information on the game's store page.

ATDD Official Website Wrote:Video Card: Radeon X1000/GF 6
Integrated graphics will likely not work. Low cost video cards may perform worse, or not work at all, even if they are much newer than older medium to high range cards.

Steam Wrote:Graphics: Radeon X1000/GF 6 - Integrated graphics and very low budget cards might not work.

GOG.com Wrote:Graphics: Radeon X1000/GeForce 6 or better
Compatibility notice (PC): Integrated Intel graphics cards are not supported

Humble Store Wrote:Video Card Radeon X1000/GF 6 - Integrated graphics and very low budget cards might not work.

Mac App Store Wrote:- ATI/AMD or NVIDIA graphics card, no other types of hardware supported.

There's also a Demo available, so people have the chance to try the game before buying it.

Game developers (and especially indie game developers) can't test their games on every single graphics card available on the market, it's not humanly and logistically possible. All they can do is to provide minimum/recommended requirements.

As a side note: I have integrated ATI graphics and I'm able to play the game on medium settings without any problems, even though the system requirements warn that "integrated graphics might not work". So don't give up before trying every possible solution! Smile

The game requirements have been available since forever. Detailed info can be found at the sticky threads. Consumer research before purchases is a given.
