[Solved] Description for CS doesn't appear? - h0tWalker - 04-21-2015

So i've been running left and right, read the wiki page several times, and watched tutorials and done the exact same thing, and i still can't be able to get my description working for my custom story.

It is in early stages, but i just want to have it working and it's killing me that it doesn't work. I've worked a few days when i didn't do my level design and now im just about to give up, and i probably can't concentrate more today without that description in box.

and i tried with the lanugage brackets as well: <LANGUAGE>above code</LANGUAGE>

I know it's written in XML and that it's very case sensitive on big and small letters, but i've gone over it so many times, i just can't get to it. I've been browsing the forums and done youtube tutorials for all my time here, but now i just had to register to solve this issue, and this is probably not the last you hear of me! Angel

The map is working, and the title and author is working, it's just not the description, everything else is working Smile

Both files are in root directory as stated on the wiki and tutorials (custom_stories/MyCustomStory) <- custom story folder

Does any other text work?

If there is 1 or more errors in the .lang file, the whole file won't work and no text will show. Is this the case?

Post the whole .lang file please

The category name for the description is supposed to be CustomStoryMain, not the name of your custom story or anything else. Right now it's set to "Obscurity."

It was generally my issue, and i also had to add the <LANGUAGE> brackets again. Had been trying with and without it, but it solved my case. I now have description again Big Grin

Remember that if the text suddenly disappears it's a good idea to check your recent edits in the .lang file.
