RE: The Ultimate SOMA Discussion Thread - silfrus - 05-25-2015

perhaps they are kidding? it is assumed that something was going to happen today because the counter reached 0 and so far nothing has happened, no videos, no trailer, nothing

RE: The Ultimate SOMA Discussion Thread - Chrysler - 05-25-2015

By the way, I found something interesting in the qWxx.txt code. There are 8 bytes (C04D57B02B2B61C4) that appear twice in the data. Probably encrypted in ECB mode with a block size of 8 bytes. Maybe XOR?

RE: The Ultimate SOMA Discussion Thread - Crypter - 05-25-2015

At the very least, this time we don't have to guess pictures of very specific animals. That one was ridiculous.

RE: The Ultimate SOMA Discussion Thread - GhylTarvoke - 05-25-2015

Prediction: when we reach 100%, another clip from Depth will be unlocked, and count.exe will restart.

RE: The Ultimate SOMA Discussion Thread - Crypter - 05-25-2015

There is a lot of background noise in the sound files, other than the loud beep. Perhaps someone can listen to some frequencies and find out if the files contain anything interesting?

RE: The Ultimate SOMA Discussion Thread - Kein - 05-25-2015

There is only 2 unique files, the rest are repeating

Not sure how useful this will be, but I did a frequency analysis of the qWxx.txt file and here are the results:

Here's the text from the qWxx.txt file if you can't be bothered using the PathOS terminal:

A few hours ago I ran the audio through Sonic Visualizer (it reveals a visual spectrogram, useful for finding a specific kind of hidden message in audio) but didn't show anything for any of the audio so far, so if there are hidden messages in there they aren't spectrographic in nature, at least.

Apparently someone did that before.
