Can I make perma-death a thing in an IFC? - Romulator - 08-18-2015 Thread title. I am working on something small, might release it, but being small, I would like to have a perma-death feature in it. Anybody know any ways I can do so? Seeing as I don't believe I can start an IFC with Justine's perma-death features. Thanks for the help! :3 RE: Can I make perma-death a thing in an IFC? - Mudbill - 08-18-2015 You could always use a CheckPoint's death callback to check for it, and do whatever from there. Though I don't think you can programmatically shut down or exit the game, you can place them in a black map with a text image or something. To avoid the loading screen on-death, you could also just teleport them to a black box area in the map. RE: Can I make perma-death a thing in an IFC? - Slanderous - 08-18-2015 Perhaps you can just start credits right when the player dies? Make few credits categories, one for beating the mod, one for fail. I used something like that earlier and it was quite cool feature. RE: Can I make perma-death a thing in an IFC? - Mudbill - 08-18-2015 "And that was the story of Placeholder Jay. He died a gruesome death and was never revived for a replay." "The End." RE: Can I make perma-death a thing in an IFC? - Romulator - 08-18-2015 Neat idea Former Lazzer. I can combine that with Mugbill here and make something that works. Into the credits you both go :3 RE: Can I make perma-death a thing in an IFC? - Slanderous - 08-18-2015 Spoiler below!
