Terminal in Theta Maintanence - DreadFox - 10-27-2015

I never noticed this on my first playthrough, but there is a terminal in Theta Maintenance in the room where you encounter the first Proxy that has a few dials you can turn on it, after turning the dials a panel lights up, you can then press a button on it that makes it light up more before just turning off again.
So far I haven't found any use for it. Has anyone else found this terminal?
I'm curious as to whether this is some kind of secret, or just something the devs had planned at some point but forgot to remove.

I haven't figured that out, or the button in Akers' room.

There's a button in Akers' room? Where abouts?

I'm pretty sure it's Akers' room; the eyeball room at Delta (?). It's on a wall.

Wasn't Akers' room the one with the PC that said "Terry Akers just won his 1,000th game of chess."? That would sound logical to me. Wasn't there a dead man in the eye ball room? Could that room belong to him?

Pretty sure, if its the button you're talking about, it opens and closes the shutters of a light on the roof.

You can also hit a "lights" button near the stairs in that same room. It turns on a light in the room for a short period before bursting. Below the room are yellow lights attached to the ceiling that you can turn on or off by clicking them.
