Penumbra Linux on a MSI Wind - juba - 03-27-2010 Hi, I recently discovered the Penumbra games and wanted to give it a try on my netbook, a MSI WIND U100 under Linux (Debian). Its integrated graphics chipset is an Intel 945gm. I tried the demo on it, but the game freezes each time at the first 3d scene (the view of the table in the boat). No crash, but everything is blocked. I didn't noticed anything in the hpl.log. And other OpenGL applications run fine (slow, but fine). So I wonder if anybody succesfuly ran the game on this hardawre, or of I could have more chance with the full paying version ? Thanks in advance for any help, Julien RE: Penumbra Linux on a MSI Wind - jens - 03-27-2010 Penumbra will not run on that computer, the graphics chip can't do what the game needs it do do |
