[split] Mac OS X crash after intro - Flamespike - 05-16-2010 After the cutscene where the guy is talking, it crashes and quits. i'll post my specs. Macbook g3 i believe. Running an external Monitor. RE: [split] Mac OS X crash after intro - jens - 05-16-2010 It is most likely that the graphics card is not capable of running the game. Do you know what graphics card it is? RE: [split] Mac OS X crash after intro - Flamespike - 05-16-2010 Yeah, it is: Chipset Model: GMA 950 Type: Display Bus: Built-In VRAM (Total): 64 MB of Shared System Memory Vendor: Intel (0x8086) Device ID: 0x27a2 Revision ID: 0x0003 Its not that old, and Intel. (and a mac) so i'm not sure why i have such a hard time running 3D games. RE: [split] Mac OS X crash after intro - Urkle - 05-16-2010 The GMA 950 is an integrated intel chipset graphics card that is really old and doesn't support penumbra ( and many other games ). Apple only used that chipset in like 2 lines of machines ( MacBook and Mac mini) and learned their lesson and are now using the integrated nvidia chip which works MUCH better. So, unfortunately you can't run penumbra in that machine ( there is a thread in the open source forum discussing further details on why it won't currently work ) |
