Character moves up and left with no input - EnderCreator - 01-15-2016

I just bought amnesia dark decent a few weeks ago on steam, I was so excited to finally play this horror. When I load in and start to play the only thing i control is the look with mouse. my character only moves forward and left as if i was pushing "W and A" but i am not pressing any inputs. Can someone please help

My system is windows 8.1 Intel I5 a 650Ti Geforce graphics 8GB RAM and I have no issues with machine for pigs

I would love to play this game and any help is highly appreciated.

Have you tried reconfiguring the keys?
Have you unplugged periferal devices like game controllers?
Have you bought a new keyboard lately, and perhaps not installed its drivers?

Yes sir I have done all of those and no my keyboard is around a year old now but like I said, Amnesia machine for pigs is fine think it could be something else?

Try going to the Amnesia.exe file in the install directory. Go to Properties. Under Compatibility, check "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings."

It might also help to put the compatibility mode to Windows 7, but it might not be necessary.

You have some sort of mouse, keyboard, gamepad (Wii for example) program installed that's interfering.
