People are always gonna pirate, that's not gonna change in the near future.
Think positive. People might feel compelled to buy the game after they see how great it is. At the very least these people now know who Frictional Games is.

About torrents, have you considered distributing the binaries using a tracker ? It can limit the access through a ticket system just like restricted warez websites do. If you mind reducing your servers bandwidth usage
By the way, I'm very happy with the distribution of the 3 os versions with a same payment. I have to say that the linux only version of penumbra coll. had let me a bit frustrated as it did not work out of the box, and very bad anyway with my amd card. And such situation would strongly encourage to illegally download an alternate win or mac version.
And better, packages for Debian / Redhat would be great, just like World of Goo did, but it's a bit out of subject in this thread.
Any way thanks for this great game I'm gonna dive into, that's the most important !
