ATi Radeon 5870 - crashes resuming saved game - FreeBooteR - 09-10-2010
Every time i try to resume a game it crashes.
Using ATi Radeon 5870 2048MB GDDR5
Catalyst 10.8
Xorg 1.8.1.902(1.8.2 RC2)
kernal 2.6.35-Arch x86_64
KDE 4.5.1 (Qt v4.6.3)
Also - I changed cards from Nvidia to ATi. The game worked with the Nvidia drivers and i was able to resume saved games then so i am guessing this is related to ATI. Unfortunatley Nvidia card is toast so no going back.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Have you tried changing permissions?
Also using the 32bit version is known to have fixed the issue.

Complete uninstall and re-install of the game fixed the error. Now i can load saves no problem. Wierd.
Just one problem with the re-install, since i removed the links in the kde menu to the game, the re-install didn't put it back into the kde menu.
not a biggie though.

I too switched from an nvidia card to an ATI card before I fisnished the game, and I also got a segmentation fault after it tries to load any saved game. Uninstall/reinstall (reinstalled 1.0.1) fixed the problem for me as well.
