Naming the monsters. - Informative - 09-11-2010

Post pictures of the monsters (weather it be gameplay or not) and we'll give them names for future references.
I took a picture of one but the screenshot showed up all black. Sad

can't remember what the name is but the invisible water monsters are given a name in the game. Mentioned in Weyer's recipe note you need the essence of one of them or something. I believe it starts with a 'K'

RE: Naming the monsters. - Mikezila - 09-11-2010

I called the water monster Poltergeist, I called the human-shaped monster the Stalker.

RE: Naming the monsters. - PerfectBlue - 09-11-2010

Here are the names.

Grunt-Typical monster you encounter
Brute- Deaf monster with metal blades on arm
Waterlurker- in the chasing sequence

You can find their real names in the concept art in super_secret.rar. The enemy with his mouth torn open is called Grunt and the other one you encounter later that sounds like an injured whale is called Brute.

RE: Naming the monsters. - Reportin' - 09-11-2010

Somewhere towards the end of the game you find a note making mention of the waterlurkers' "true" name...

Spoiler below!
It's called a "Kaernk"

RE: Naming the monsters. - avager - 09-11-2010

I just called them "mobs" (singular: "mob") when I was playing with my friend over Teamspeak ("Oh damn, a mob will be coming after you again when you'll pick up that item") Smile .

Wow I didn't even know there were two different humanoid monsters I thought they were one in the same.

I'd call them

Lip disc ultimate frisbee

Stabby McGougeRend

and Deadliest Catch

I think I need food cuz I'm spazzing...
