Corrupt audio file - Reportin' - 09-11-2010

I'm posting this in Hints & Spoilers since it concerns a file contained within super_secret.rar...

Spoiler below!
The audio file "22nd May 1839.wav" from Professor Herbert's lost diary seems to be corrupted.
All I can hear is a really loud, distorted crackling sound, with the actual voice only faintly audible
in the background.

Anyone else having the same problem?
Maybe it's supposed to be that way and it's the reason why this wasn't included in the game...
