Ah, great, thanks! Now if only we could track down the first one.. RE: The ambient piano song - Informative - 10-03-2010 Youtube video of the whole song is in order. RE: The ambient piano song - Informative - 10-07-2010 Bump. I'd really like a youtube video of the ambient piano song's full song. (I searched Beethoven's thing but it didn't have the ambient piano heard in Amnesia) RE: The ambient piano song - dvow - 10-08-2010 (10-07-2010, 06:29 AM)Informative Wrote: Bump. (I searched Beethoven's thing but it didn't have the ambient piano heard in Amnesia) I posted the youtube video, and even the time where the ambient part is heard. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJGWhSgld4w Between 1:45 and 2:05 of where the fragment is from.) Go and compare. They're practically the same, except the ambient version is played with a lot of pedal (pedal makes the notes, especially bass notes, heavier, and linger). This was done to make it seem more mysterious and distant. Nobody in their right mind would ACTUALLY play the original Beethoven piece like that, so don't expect to find a youtube version unless someone purposely makes one. So there's really no point bumping this thread for a video of it, when I already provided one. You're just not hearing it right. All three ambient pieces heard are purposely distorted from the original work for atmosphere. It was hard enough finding the source of one. It was hard enough finding the source of one. And a pretty impressive feat at that! I've listened to both the .ogg and the youtube version, and it's the same source, no doubt. Well-done! I actually like the game version more, since the subdued base brings out the main melody better. The original sounds more like a technical skill demo to me. |
