second Cistern Bridge stays up - pw2302 - 09-26-2010 Have drained the Sewer Water and the second 'bridge lever' now operates - but has no effect. The bridge stays in its highest position. Any help for a 75-years old English adventurer please? RE: second Cistern Bridge stays up - df0 - 09-26-2010 Drop something heavy on that bridge. edit: let me be a bit more clear You need to drop a stone onto that bridge to gravity can do its work. On the ground floor are some stones, pick one up and throw it onto the pillar you just came from. Now climb back up, pick up the stone, aim it high and towards the bridge and throw it. Job done RE: second Cistern Bridge stays up - girly - 09-26-2010 (09-26-2010, 05:40 PM)df0 Wrote: Drop something heavy on that bridge. Go back in to control room and make sure all levers wheels are locked in position. I had same problem and had to do same thing. One of the wheels moved but then went into correct position whnich made lever work. RE: second Cistern Bridge stays up - Kein - 09-26-2010 Or u can jump on it from 1st bridge RE: second Cistern Bridge stays up - pw2302 - 09-28-2010 (09-26-2010, 10:31 PM)Kein Wrote: Or u can jump on it from 1st bridge I've got to go up on the first bridge to do that - and even with a run I can't jump that far without dying ! I've tried taking 15 bricks etc up on first bridge and throwing them across to stuck bridge (got 6 to stay on) but that doesn't make the heavy bridge go down - and leaves me in the air on bridge ! ! From the platform I can't throw anything high enough to land on the bridge - even if I balance on one of the stone balustrade pillars to shorten the gap [All my wheels/levers are "stuck in position" and I can hear the engines running]. Very frustrated ! I've 3 weeks holiday coming up, perhaps that will give me strength ? ! [quote='df0' pid='39675' dateline='1285519248'] Drop something heavy on that bridge. Thanks - but see my reply to Kein below. I don't seem to be able to throw anything that high from the 'pier' at the top of the ladder. I need to be able to get the 2nd bridge down a little ! RE: second Cistern Bridge stays up - Blackhand - 09-28-2010 Sounds like you have the pipes in the control room in the wrong position. In the room where the big weight has to go into the floor, has it gone all the way down. Play about with the levers until the weight is all the way down RE: second Cistern Bridge stays up - Kein - 09-28-2010 (09-28-2010, 03:59 PM)pw2302 Wrote:(09-26-2010, 10:31 PM)Kein Wrote: Or u can jump on it from 1st bridge It IS possible. Should I make a video for you? ;P I can if you like to. So if you find yourself dying, get your health up. The first time I did that puzzle with no help, I jumped and died. XD On my second try after that, I managed to jump far enough with a good run. |
