Ever the one to find excuses to put off working on the intimidating script work on my map, I wrote up a tutorial for scripting focusing on those new to the idea, focusing on syntax. Also a few possibly helpful tips.

Excellent article, both in content and in presentation! Thanks for taking your time to share all this info.
The helpful tips alone make it a valuable resource already, and I found the syntax review a good refresher. Extra kudos for covering those practical situations at the end.

Now, I feel quite confident to make my own scripts!
I think I'll make a script that works when the door collides with the area when it is being opened, the monster on the other side becomes active.

Explain the script for interacting with objects and making text appear on screen please. I tried out what you said to do but it doesnt work at all.
