Cant launch my mod - Nocturnal - 07-13-2016 When i try to launch the .bat file, it says FATAL ERROR: Could not init steam. RE: Cant launch my mod - Mudbill - 07-13-2016 It's an issue with the Steam version of Amnesia. Instead you must put the path to your config file into the Steam launch options. Right click Amnesia > Properties > Set launch options. In there you put what is currently in the .bat file, except for the Launcher.exe part. Problem was that I didnt have Steam open, but not it says Failed to load game config file! so that is when i try to open the .bat file. RE: Cant launch my mod - Romulator - 07-13-2016 Go here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=722029017 There are two lines, involving SDL2, which you'll need to add appropriately to your main_init.cfg. Follow those instructions and see if that helps. Ok I found it, i messed with the main_init.cfg file, and the resource.cfg file, its at least launching now, and now it comes up with a blackbox error, it is 0023:00208E23. RE: Cant launch my mod - Mudbill - 07-14-2016 We need to see your hpl.log file right after the black box happens. From this log it looks like the game started successfully and was then normally shut down. Considering this is for your own mod, the correct log file will actually not be located in the Main folder in Documents\Amnesia. Main is for the normal game. There should be another folder there with your mod's name. Try the log file from there instead. |
