Amigdala, the Penumbra: Overture Unreal Engine Clone (Must see!) - Omnitool - 11-14-2016 This is a great clone of the first Penumbra game. Is shares a lot of similarities with the original, including gameplay, story setting and location, etc. It is also set in Greenland, and the envirnoments and textures are very similar to Penumbra! http://store.steampowered.com/app/450110 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDpO5vmmaw8 Quote:Gherman Driven, a middle-aged man, fanatical conspiracy theorist, who has abandoned all joy of his life. This is what a Penumbra HD remake would look like RE: Amigdala, the Penumbra: Overture Unreal Engine Clone (Must see!) - Caterpillar - 12-17-2016 (11-14-2016, 06:51 AM)Omnitool Wrote: This is a great clone of the first Penumbra game. It looks very nice, but but I am wondering if this game could have some Frictional Games copyright infringements... RE: Amigdala, the Penumbra: Overture Unreal Engine Clone (Must see!) - Traggey - 12-17-2016 Oooh dear lord no please no, every single asset in that trailer is either downloaded for free from the unreal engine content examples or just bought from the market place. I can't count how many games I've seen that zombie model in. https://www.unrealengine.com/marketplace/zombie1-model-animation Unintelligible voice acting, a HUD that makes your eyes hurt and gameplay that looks like it was scrambled together from various free tutorials, yup, this is an asset flip at its finest. Seems it's his first game. Cool, I like new devs! Here's one important thing though, don't sell your first game. It isn't going to be good and this is a perfect example of that, it's a pretty crap game that disguises itself under pretty pre-made unreal graphics, he should keep making games and improve himself as a developer before selling his work. |
