Can't play in Fullscreen - Gnemesis - 12-07-2010 For some odd reason I can only play in windowed mode. Starting the game in Fullscreen causes an immediate crash, resulting in this message: "Amnesia.exe caused an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in module atioglxx.dll at 0023:690936B1, DrvPresentBuffers()+118609 byte(s)" Just thought i'd mention that i just updated my graphics drivers after fully clearing the previous version. I've also poked around with the game options with no success. Does anyone have a clue as to why this is happening? RE: Can't play in Fullscreen - Gnemesis - 12-07-2010 Just tested all of them. Afraid none of them work, same thing happens. RE: Can't play in Fullscreen - Som1Lse - 12-07-2010 There is a easy workaround: First download ShiftWindow and install it. Then make a rule that looks like this: Start Amnesia in windowed mode and then when you run it press Ctrl+Shift+A and it will run in fullscreen. (actually windowed mode but the borders won't be shown as they are outside the screen) RE: Can't play in Fullscreen - Gnemesis - 12-08-2010 I'll try that. Thanks for the help RE: Can't play in Fullscreen - Tenacious - 12-08-2010 You shouldn't have to download a program to run the game in fullscreen. If it works use it, but I'd rather figure out why the game fullscreen doesn't work. Imagine opening the game twice by mistake. (don't do it, you will lock the mouse at the top left corner of the screen without any chance to quit) |
